Description:
I-Like Structural PU Sealant is a PU sealant specially designed for
structural glazing purpose. It is widely used for the bonding and
sealing of glass, metal, plastic, stone, ceramic and rubber, etc.
It has features of :
* Excellent adhesion on all cement-based materials, brick,
ceramics, metals, wood, polyurethane, epoxy, and some polyesters.
* Fast cure rate.
* High durability.
* High abrasion resistance and tear strength.
* Good weathering and water resistance.
* No sagging on vertical joints up to 30 mm width.
* Ready for immediate use - no mixing.
* Non-corrosive.
* Can be painted over with many water, solvent and rubber-based
paints (preliminary tests recommended).
* Certified for use in contact with potable water
Directions:
Surface preparation
Clean, solid, dry and free of oil, grease and surface contaminants
such as form release agents, curing membranes and hydrophobic water
repellants. Thoroughly remove all loose particles and dust.
Application:
Minimum application temperature is 5°C. For easier use store
cartridges at temperatures between 10°C and 20°C. For adhesive
purposes apply in spots or beads on the prepared surface, tapping
or pressing the part to be adhered against the substrate. The
thickness of the bead depends on the surface texture (1 mm to 5
mm). When sealing is completed, joints may be smoothed with a 20%
solution of washing up detergent in water. When masking sides of
joints for neatness, remove tape before the sealant cures. Always
allow sufficient surface exposed to moisture.
Precautions:
-To do the experiment in advance is the necessary condition to
guarantee the excellent adhesiveness;
-After being opened, the cleaner must be used up in a day; or else,
it should be firmly sealed;
-Avoid contact with skin and eyes; if carelessly, please wash them
with a large amount of water and see the doctor;
-If the bonded part is heavy or needs moving, use the auxiliary
tool to fix the position during the solidifying
time(pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, locating block, etc.);
-The recommended use condition: temperature 15-35°C, humidity
40%-80%RH; keep the working condition completely ventilated;
